This comprehensive course will take you beyond the meridians and acu-points, to the Micro Systems of Classical Acu-Pressure. The Micro Systems are a complex mapping of reflex zones of the body. Using the Micro Systems maps, one is able to quickly make an assessment, create a treatment plan, and give a treatment, which will produce immediate improvement in your client’s condition.

In this seminar you will learn the Mirror Image Acupressure method. This simple and very effective Micro System technique is easily integrated into a variety of massage and bodywork modalities. Rather than focusing on the location and indications of numerous points, the clinical application of Mirror Image Acupressure is based on the natural reflex relationships of the body structure in a way that is easily accessible for massage and bodywork therapists.

Micro Systems are a commonly used method in Asia; however, this concept has achieved only limited exposure in America. Although the traditional meridians and acu-points are contained within these theories, the perspective is significantly different. Micro System theories are based on the holographic concept, that each part contains and therefore is able to affect, the whole. For example, with Mirror Image Acu-Pressure, we use distal points on the arms and legs to treat the whole body.

Though knowledge of the meridians and acu-points is beneficial, it is not necessary to learn this method. The Mirror Image Acupressure System is a map that provides ease in locating effective treatment points; points that deliver immediate results that your clients will experience on your treatment table, and beyond.

In addition, this seminar will introduce you to some of the treatment techniques used in Tui Na, such as rubbing, scrubbing and rolling. Though aspects of these methods will be familiar to most massage and bodywork therapists, they have their own unique qualities, which you will learn as well.

Qigong provides a foundation for the treatment methods used in Tui Na. In this seminar you will also learn a personal Qigong practice that will support your work as a therapist. In addition, participants will also explore how to integrate Qigong into their hands-on treatments.

In this seminar, you will learn:
