About Leadership in Action. This course forms the foundation for all other programs from Strozzi Institute. In Leadership in Action 1 you will begin the process of inquiry and practice so that you can identify your leadership style and start to remove barriers that are keeping you from fulfilling your goals. This approach is grounded in somatic practices that will allow you to align your body and awareness with your vision and mission.  Mark Mooney is Vice President of Public Programs at Strozzi Institute, a certified Master Somatic Coach, a teacher in the Leadership in Action courses in the US and the UK, and provides individual coaching and business consulting.
Mark has coached executives in large corporations as well as in small businesses, and offers coaching for people in varying stages of Leadership development. He is a graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University, has managed several small businesses and owned his own manufacturing business for six years. He has been studying with Dr. Richard Strozzi-Heckler for 14 years and has been a teacher at Strozzi Institute for 10 years. He holds the rank of black belt in Aikido.

Richard Strozzi-Heckler, PhD is an internationally known authority and consultant on Leadership and Mastery. He has spent more than three decades researching, developing, and teaching the practical application of Somatics (the unity of language, action, and meaning) to men and women in such diverse fields as health care, technology, military, and business. His revolutionary approach to leadership has a depth of insight and practicality that is truly unique.
He has a doctorate in Psychology and holds a sixth-degree black belt in Aikido. He is also the author of a number of acclaimed books including, The Anatomy of Change, In Search of the Warrior Spirit, Being Human at Work, and The Leadership Dojo.
