Different foot charts

For my Reflexology course,we have foot charts from Ann Gilanders,but Im confused,and I know charts can vary.If you were to divide the big toe into quarters,the bottom right portion has no identifible reflex point.I have a case study and when I work on this point he jumps in pain,he suffers from insomnia and has short memory problems,he is forty eight and is very laid back.I was assuming that the pineal gland was involved here but on my foot chart this gland is in the top right hand quarter.Is there an area represented on other foot charts for this area???I would appreciate any advice.

Not sure if I can help but I will give it a short. Do you mean right or left foot?
Acording to my foot chart it could be the mastoid on the left foot and cerebellum on the right foot. I too find this very confusing as each foot chart ois different. the foot charts we are learning don't even have th pineal gland mapped???? mmmm.......thymus is missing on one of mine also and on another it is marked but it contradicts where the heart is marked on the other one. I am so confussed.

Anyway I would love to know the answer to your question also.

Both feet,but more tender on the left foot,but that could make sense,I forgot to mention that after I had worked this area he started to laugh.On our chart,the pituitary is dead centre of big toes,the hypothalmus is five past and the pineal is ten past.I appreciate that we cover all areas but it would be good to know the tender areas and the related symptoms.

Hi Star99,

Just trying to visualise the area, is it bottom right quarter of left foot and bottom left quarter of right foot towards the 2nd toe? If so does your client have any issues with his upper neck/jaw? I'd image the laughter was a clearing of an energy blockage.

Yes that is where it is,there is no known problems here,but he worked in a factory in his 20s and had no ear protection,he feels his hearing detiorated from then,not sure if this connects.

Hi Star99,

How do the ear reflexes feel? Thinking back to my course last year, one of my case studies was very sensitive in that area of her toes, it turned out she used to grind her teeth at night .

Ask your client to make sure his neck is well supported when lying/sitting down; how does he hold his head?

Don't forget that with reflexology you can also pick up on a past/future issues in an area.

Try not to get hung up on it, if nothing comes to mind now don't worry, keep treating and see what develops.

The ear reflexes on left foot were very tender as were all sinus areas,he did have sinusitis as a child but says it is not a problem now.I think that he has very good posture when sitting and lying on the couch but I will discuss his sleeping habits.THANKS a mil for advice Wesam.
