Hi all! On the topic of Organic Massage Oil, I have not tried the Lotus Touch yet. But, I thought I would share a new company I tried. Indigo Wild. Their oil is sueforum.xxx. I love it and the essential oils are unbelievable... I am going to find the correct place to post this great product in. The people are also great - fun, friendly... This is the link to their site if you want to check it out - let me know what you think if you decide to try it. They also carry some "spa" stuff (scrubs and such) that I haven't tried or researched yet... Oh, alos included is the list of ingredients for their oil. Enjoy!!

I contacted them to object to their advertising a product as organic that obviously contains so many chemical additives. They never replied to my email (No surprise). If you're asking what those mystery ingredients are, I did independent research. Here's a link to another forum thread that lists the complete ingredients lists of various creams, and I also included a post that lists the definitions of various ingredients (scroll half-way down the page to find it).

'Organic' can mean so many things you need to be very careful when purchasing stuff. Since 'organic chemistry' means made of carbon, any plant/animal based material can be called organic - including mineral oil because it's from petrol made out of organic material - organic does not have to mean natural or pesticide free, which is why you need to make sure if organic means pesticide free (certified by the pesticide free organic bodies) and also check what ingredients are pesticide free - hardly any processed thing will be 100% organic. I think pesticide free organic certificates are allowed to say the processed product is certified organic if something like 80% is organic (varies depending on certifying body). So it is buyer beware. Similarly Pure does not mean pesticide free.
Lotus organic products just say certified organic botanical extracts and oils doesn't say anything about certified organic preservatives, and it's the preservatives that are all the nasty stuff usually, or some penetration enhancers, and texturisers. Lotus Touch vs Biotone - it's the perceneforum.xxxe if the nasties, Biotone, may have less concerning ingredients, but they may be at a higher perceneforum.xxxe than a couple of concern ingredients in Lotus Touch. I'm not saying one is better than the other, but the ingredient list is not the end of the story.

Basically if you want to use ANY cream/lotion it will almost always have some preservatives in it. Almost all mass produced creams/lotions will include water, it makes the product cheaper, as soon as you add oil, you make a lovely environment for all kinds of bacteria and fungus, so they add preservatives. If you don't want preservatives, make your own or buy from a small company that doesn't make big batches.

As for misleading claims of organic, only if it is not pesticide free organic certified and they claim it is, have you got something to complain about lies, BUT the only way it will change is if people complain about truth in advertising. It's not shocking that they are implying the product is pesticide free and all natural, it's another example of fairly standard practice because people don't know, so complain to the companies they are misleading if you do know.

Biotone/Lotus Touch (New Life), may not be in the brands shown, but the individual ingredients can be checked. If I wanted to complain about products being misleading, I'd probably ask if the comapny has considered signing http://www.safecosmetics.org http://www.livingnature.com has and they have massage products (they've got more products available than shown on the website, and they have professional sizes)
