Does anyone have thoughts on or experience with this "new" form of energetic healing?

What are your thoughts/opinions on being "attuned" to higher frequencies in order to "heal" more efficiently and effectively?

Do you believe in some sort of ranking of attunement frequencies that energy workers would need to go through in order to "heal" better?

Do you believe that someone else that is more "attuned" needs to "attune" you to the next level of frequency, or do you believe that if you just open yourself to that kind involvement in the energy work world, you will begin to do it?

I am sitting on the fence about this. I can understand the thought process that being more finely tuned to higher frequencies would bring about more efficient and effective healings, but the part that someone else needs to attune me to these frequencies is rubbing me the wrong way. My way of thinking is that if I am open to receiving higher frequencies and expect it to be so, then it will be so.

Anyone else care to share?

I really like Reconnective Healing, have good results. I think it is a different frequency to a lot of other energy work, but I found it almost the same as what I was working with intuatively, so I don't think you have to be attuned by someone.

On the web site it says you don't have to be attuned by anyone, see http://www.thereconnection.com/Reconnection/FAQ/reconfaq.html#anchor9 - just thinking about it can be enough, in that aspect I think attunement is a waffle word and awareness is probably a better word. It's not a like a Reiki attunement. On the course, you don't have an attunement like you do with Reiki, the course just brings you into awareness faster. Having said that, only someone who has done the course, rather than just read the book etc, can say they are a Reconnective Healing practitioner Lvlv whatever.

Now there is Reconnective Healing, and they also do a Personal Reconnection, THAT needs to be done by someone, it's not just an awareness, but you certainly don't need to have that done to tap into the Reconnective Healing frequencies.

I actually really like the fact they DON'T recommend you go have regular tune up sessions http://www.thereconnection.com/Reconnection/FAQ/reconfaq.html#anchor7 not many things will say there is no need for followup visits.

As always you have very insightful and educated information to share. I have been keeping my eye on the post you linked and your logic is easy for me to swallow.

I particularly found it interesting that you found your energy work easier to "market" when it was called something. I feel very much that I have been doing some form of energy work (that is not quite Reiki) but feel uneasy talking about it to people. Heck, around here talking about Reiki is risque....there is definitely a call for educating most of my town about the fact that we are energetic beings.

I wonder though....if you just came up with a name for the energy work you were doing and trademarked it, came up with marketing material for it, and got some testimonials, you could also be an Energy Worker Guru!!
