A matter on tipping

so after the donation, do you guys tip after? to me its customary. I mean i usually 95% of the time give a extra 20 just because... if the service was satisfactory or whatever... but i calculated this, all those extra tips i could have gotten another 3 massages at a amp! and all these times i tip, i dont really see a difference in the level of service i get the next time i go back..

the rule of thumb for an amp is ".6 door fee" and the "rest" is the tip

i tip extra rarely and only so the girl can remember me

Right on deevad, I have tipped well on exceptional service, so they do remember, most times it really does pay off.

Hmmm i dont know...i mean i guess thats how i am. every time i go somewhere be it starbucks or a restaurant i always tip. i see the .6 and $ as a fee, like ordering food at a restaurant and then the extra .2 i give at the end as a tip for the waiter. i dont know, im just wondering if anyone else considers it rude or whatever to walk out without a extra tip? or maybe im just too sensitive of a guy...

I had asked the providers in a few well reviewed AMPs and the response I got is that 80% of all customers do not tip (i.e. above the *standard* rate). Don't know how much truth to that but my sample size is about 5 different providers.

You give out tips because you think it's expected...

at that point it is no longer a TIP... Tips should work based on the quality of service that you have gotten..
if its standard affair or as you put it in your original post "satisfactory" what's the reason for giving extra?
you got what you paid for... If the BBBJ was "dig your nails into the table" good, or you got MSOG at an AMP,
or Greek, or a 2for1 special.. then sure by ALL means throw them something extra...

If I work at a restaurant where 15% gratuity is automatically charged I would do the bear minimum to keep
my job, as opposed to a restaurant where it isn't automatic I would work my ass off for as many tips as I could.

Maybe you aren't too sensitive, maybe im overly insensitive.. but in my experience the tipping culture in the united states
is that automatic... In other areas of the world hospitality and high levels of service are a staple to bringing
customers BACK to an establishment, not trying to get more of their money while they are there.

I find that when you are customer number 5 out of 10 for the day, any extra tip won;t mean much for the next time because the girls are on the clock anyway.

To me, "extra" tipping beyond customary is either because it was an extraordinary GFE session, or because I am going to start a pattern of being a good tipper with the woman so that future sessions may prove to be even more special in some way. For massages, my usual tipping level for an hour (where base fee is .45$ up to .80$) is: (a) massage without extras or any hint of extras in the future-- .2$ or .3$; (b) standard fbsm massage plus L1--.4$; (c) fbsm massage plus L2--.4$ or .5$; (d) fbsm massage plus L3--.6$ or .8$. If she doesn't give me the full time, or if the massage or attitude is poor, I may tip less. I don't think I've ever not tipped at all or tipped less than .2$. An AMP or agency or independent with fees starting at $1.6 or higher is completely different. I often don't tip extra or add a small tip, such as .2$.

hmmm i just see it as extra gratuidy. like if the massage + cost 160, then after your done you tip a 15% for the waiter/provider. it is kind of a waste because i dont usually return and get the same girls. ah well! hard times, i was thinking i would just skip my courteous .2 in the future...

I appreciate your post. I have been wonering if i have been tipping too much. Your tips are in line what i have been also doing. I seem to remember that the house gets the $60 and the only money the provider gets was what we give them.

I think that in a lot of massage/nails/hair shops, the house gets slightly over half, but the girl gets the rest, plus all of the tip. It probably varies a lot. And in the better hotels and clubs, the arrangement is similar. In either case, tips are a big deal.
