I`ve only been there the once,but the vibe,fitout,location all felt good to me.

Ok,there`s no food and no BF`s.....but there was a stack of FL`s when i was there and i`m sure that Rick and Danny will be smart enough to fine tune the place as time goes on.

Certainly won`t be another KBG,but all businesses need a point of difference.
The Aussie thing seems to work in Patong and Karon,so why not Kamalalala...

For me and some others its better to live the fairytale then paying a girl x amount of money to live and be with me as my gf/wife. Only knowing for sure if I miss a few payments she is out the door and right back where I found her. I'll take the chances with the fairytale at least it is real for the time that it lasts versus buying the option.

I do think we are talking about two different types of situations. BG and non BG.

I have met many girls in Phuket who are non BGs and very happy to be where they are at and working. So I am not quite sure where you come up with the conclusion that so many girls are unhappy to work or be outside their village. I don't think to many girls are to happy to work as a prostitute though. Who would?

Just so I am not a hypocrite or that great saint. I have indulged in the P4P just as many others and still sometimes do. After years and banging my head against the wall I prefer to put my time in with the non BG.

well maybe a couple of new gals but overall I could list most of them by name before they started there.....and maybe better gals to you Dodge...but not to me...in fact overall their standard is way below the gals at the KBG...anyone with an eye can see that

I don't believe its ever gonna be a KBG but with an investment like that it should have been aiming for it....it has the venue now but I am disappointed that it has aimed too low and missed even that

real proof of the pudding as I hgave said all along is FOOD...and whether they can keep up with the outflow of gals once they realise how much money they are missing out on by not being able to take advaneforum.xxxe of bar fines

Went in there twice this trip and it needs time to develop IMHO.

Danny mentioned (After telling me there were only two blokes who punched me in Little Aussie Bar when I was sure there were at least 10 like.....Cough!) that they had opened provisionally but had still to have a big opening do!

Girls as Nels said are not BF'able. The best looking girl in there is the cashier IMHO and unavailable to come out from behind the bar and sit on my lap for ten minutes which would have been enough.

Mentioned they were getting a new chef (Thai!) and training him to make big "Aussie" breakfasts by locking him in a room and brain-washing him with bacon and eggs and things, still hasn't happened, they had a few sad looking Aussie Pies in a warming oven on the bar which are OK for lining your stomach before a session but didn't look all that appetising to be honest.

Not sure if they have a happy hour but I guess they do. I didn't notice the price of my bottled Tiger or what draught beer they had! Sorry!

Girls are pleasant enough and wear a F1 type yellow with black and white chequered mini dress style uniform. Needs a few more of girls as it's a biggish bar downstairs or the ground floor and they spend a lot of time running up and down the stairs with drinks for the customers using the pool tables or watching the TV's.

Upstairs are the flatscreen tellys and pool table for the sporty types.

Dodger mentioned the SMS service you can sign up to whereby Danny will text you of any up-coming events (Melbourne Cup, F1, Rugby, Pool Night etc) which is a good idea. They opened early for the Melbourne and it looked a good crowd.

Music is too loud to watch the sport though and another BM mentioned to me that he went in to watch the Liverpool game and when he asked them to turn it down a bit to be able to watch the game he was ignored so they packed up and moved to Black Cats who know their customers and cater for them. So they got a gang of lads drinking for 2 hours or so, as opposed to the Aussie Bar.

Danny mentioned they had spent around 6.5 million on it and in time they may get into profit but for me, they need to work a bit harder at it before they get there.

A bit of a let down for me after quite a bit of pre-opening hype.
