Back From Patong! Missing it!! Fight broke out.

well i just arrived back to my homeland a week or soo ago already. And I really really miss it!! Especially Phuket!! I really hate BKK, it got really boring after a while. I spent like almost 2 weeks there.. I went to chiang mai and then phuket.. and phuket is where we had the most fun. I went with three of my friends. It was good times!!! I was hanging out a lot at the Indian Bar in the back of Soi Eric. I had some really good times at that bar.

But one night I recall fondly is when a fight broke out between a Auzzi and a Thai guy. It was wierd. I was really drunk and heading over to the Tiger Disco around like 2:10am. And this Auzzi bumped into me, and I realized he was really HAMMERED. And he probably been bumping into a lot of people on his way. But then all of a sudden, this Thai guy (pretty big) started to scream at him. And I remember him saying something about bumping into a girl or something. The auzzi (pretty big too), started to mumble something back to him. And I was about 20 feet away from all this. I was really drunk but then all of a sudden I see my friend in the middle of all of it. I was like WTF!!!

Well apparently the whole thing ended up with a shot being fired into the air. And also a bloody head on the auzzi's part because he got smashed with a bottle.. But it was unfair because it was like 4 thai guys against one guy. I felt bad but I couldn't do nothing about it. It was kind of funny since there was this Aussi bar like a couple of feet away, but I think it was closed. Man!! That really woke me up when a shot rang out. I thought my friend got shot because I no longer saw him but I looked to my left and he was standing right next to me..

Just wondering if anyone remember when this happened. It was maybe around August 12th.

This is exactly why you avoid a fight in Thailand at all costs. If confronted, just walk away. You will NEVER win. I have seen it all too many times, and the end results are not pretty.

Same thing happened to a big englishman last christmas, he was making some problems in a bar in Bangle with Thai-ownership. The staff pushed him out in the street and smashed a bottle in his head. He was all out, and a ambulance had to take him away.
I dont understand why some people allways have to make troubble when they are drinking.
Im 34, and never been in a fight in my life. Its much better to walk away and try to have fun somewhere else if anyone anoy you or trying to start a fight.

I am not a figter, but I been punched badly, without any reason in my car (convertable).

I never started a fight but...

Mostly, although my frequent panic-attacks, i am very optimistic, and if someone is bad to me, I keep it humouristic!

But strangely enough, and this has nothing to do with drinks, maybe my lack at sereotonine in my brain, wich is worse from one moment to another, I can get by something "over my line" very, very angry, looks that mr Hyde is taking over from dr Jekyll!

Luckily, it did not get me in trouble yet (except some doors kicked and a stereo out of the window)

I hope this never ever happens to me in Thailand! That's why I will never even want to see cherry again, you never know!

I subscribe to the view that if you get involved in a fight you have already lost. The only time I can accept acts of violence is in self-defence, but to quote a blackbelt martial-arts instructor: "The best style of self-defence is 300m hurdles."
I`d say it speaks better of a person if he`s able to walk away from a fight than if he hospitalize any number of guys singel-handedly.

I guess this happens from time to time when drunken ferangs- who go into the sort of Friday night pick a fight mode- they might get away with in their home town- try and kick off in a country where aggression of that sort beyond rudeness- so they get what they deserve.

Yes.. you guys are right. I actually left on August 12th around 4pm, and arrived in BKK to find that nothing was open. So this occured on August 11th.. My mistake. I do recall it being the last night I was in Patong. But it was horrible... if I was a little more sober, I could give you more details. I was really hammered after like 14 Singhas. Which I miss very much soo... I been frequently visiting thai restaurants in my area to get some drinks with my mates. Although I do not like (mai chop) thai food..

But I must say I still miss PHUKET and dreaming about the day I head back there. But from what I have been reading, it seems the government is getting worse and worse. I remember 2 years ago when I went to LOS, it was fantastic!!! Topless and Bottomless shows!!! REAL STRIP JOINTS, but to my surprise nothing this year. But still worth the trip.. and want to do it again very soon.

This thread is starting to sound like there are fights all the time and there are NOT .

I have NEVER had any sort of problem in los with anyone and in the last 3 years ( i live here 350 days a year ) i have seen 2 very small fights and they were broke up quickly .

ill tell you one thing, i live in NYC and almost everynight you go out there is a fight and ive never seen a fight(if you dont count kwan trying to slice moay's throat). and i am a person that is quick to get into a fight but i have a totally different attitude when i go to LOS. theres just no need to fight. and one other thing about holidays, i know in BKK, most bars are closed but you can always drink in bowling alleys, and they are pretty fun!
