She is such a sought after MPA, where ever she works.

You know what they say, even bad publicity......is publicity. I heard through the grapevine, she even worked last Saturday, relying on walk ins......I guess we have to call in each shift to see if shes sneaking in there. Those phones will be busy at SRM. If only she could do stats as well as she massages.

Yes, I'd noticed Athena worked a last minute double on Sunday too, according to the SRM website. As you know she generally works the afternoon shift only. I admire Athena's work ethic but sometimes worry she's going to burn herself out with all the activities

In the mean time my advice to everybody else is book EARLY if you wish to see Athena.

Im doing undergrad right now in psych but statistics is mandatory. Psychology requires alot of percision, thats where statistics come into play.

Yeah there are quite a few massageplanet.netites who like to jump all over people who make spelling mistakes. Atrocious grammar/spelling errors is one thing but typos are a given on a blog/review board.

So Sanya, how are you enjoying psych? I did a minor in psych in my undergrad. I liked the earlier year courses but the later years I became less interested. It seemed, at least in my program, that the profs cared more about me remembering which scientists did what study, and the year it was done, rather than me being able to apply what was proven in the study. But psych is a fascinating area of study. I'm curious if it was just my program that was poor / or it was just me.

What do you see yourself doing in the long run with it? Prof, psychiatry, research?

well Indian lover was on the right track, I do want to do clinical psychology, specifically eating disorders. Sometimes having a horrible prof. can really make it hard for students to be interested in psychology. Especially when you are bombarded with theory after theory. But I guess they just want you to know the fundamentals before you can do the actual fun stuff. Im in the same boat, I lose my interest sometimes because Im not applying what I'm learning but I also think about in graduate I probably will be overwhelmed with all the research I have to do.

Yeah I guess you're right. I might not have given them a fair chance. I just remember being so interested in first year psych and then feeling let down in the later years.

Lots of people will continue to need good pyschologists to get through their problems, particularly those with eating disorders. Yeah, college basic course work like stats can drag people down a bit sometimes. You just have to stick with it till you get to the fun part of studying - we are rooting for you.
