Hi,

Does anyone know what's happened to this site? It seems to have disappeared and now just goes to a 1&1 page. It was there a couple of weeks ago.

I paid £30 for annual membership to the site almost a year ago and have not gained any clients through it. I feel a bit miffed that they appear to have gone offline without telling their members first. I know my membership would have expired very shortly but still ...

Just wondered if anyone knew any more.

That's not good that they didn't let you know about going offline, altough I do vaguely remember seeing somewhere, maybe an email from them, that the site was up for sale a while back.

Just looked at the Companies House website - their company number was 05350787 and the company was dissolved on the 12th May this year.

I paid £30 about 3 years ago, don't ever know if I got anyone thru it. I had my details on a lot of websites at the time but most I didn't pay for.

I was never asked in the past two years ever to repay the subscription but my details were never removed. It would appear no-one was managing it which is probably why it went bust.

Like Sarah7 said the website was up for sale.

I did consider advertising on this website but decided that sites of that nature are all a waste of money, especially for me living in an area where word of mouth is more important (funny how findareflexologist.com was based in Cornwall, but before you asked I don't know the person concerned).

It was like during the boom times everyone seemed to be jumping on the bandwagon, websites springing up and offering therapists listings and so forth, and how this was going to increase business by X amount of %. Where are they all now? Defunct!

Interesting! I always thought it was a bit suspect. Everytime I logged in it said that more people had viewed my information but I never seemed to get anyone click through to my site so I didn't trust their information.

Hi. It was my gut feeling not to advertise as I don't generally approve with paying for links to your website. However a marketing friend of mine said I should and at a moment of weakness I did.

Wish I'd had the idea to set up a directory! Seems like easy money.

I got caught out by this one too. Paid my £30 and every time I checked I had another 30 people view my info but not one of them ever came through to me. I also started a thread on one of the forums asking where everybody was, and the moderator didn't even answer which made me suspicious. I guess we all live and learn!

However one of my first ever clients found me through the site and she is still coming to me so I guess in my case the £30 registration has repaid itself several times over!

Not really. As with any business, if they're struggling to finance the business or the business collapses for whatever reason, the last thing they will be concerned with is letting all the clients/customers know. They would either be too busy trying to get more clients/customers to keep themselves afloat or selling it off as a going concern or, most likely, just taking their assets and doing a runner.

That's business for ya!
