yep Dlew there are a few clubs over in PT like Fantasea where mostly Thais go...its possible to pick up gals in these places but its not like Taipan or Tiger....more like the odd opportunist freelancer

BTW for info purposes, when I was there, no ST but LT from 3 different bars was B2000, and in all cases they were willing, wanted to stay more than 1 night, so I would say between B1500 and B2000 would be the go. I did not negotiate just left under phone/purse.

As someone who can remember before the relativly recent Aussie invasion of Phuket, it was us Brits who generally caused most of the trouble before on the whole (On a smaller scale, as there were less of us generally). In fact I've had more 'trouble' with my own nationality in Thailand, than any other, although Isrealis and Russians are not too far behind. But saying that, im sure the Aussie "bogans" are quickly establishing a reputation for themselves with the locals and other tourists, just as British "Chavs" have done in parts of Spain, Greece and Turkey.

As I avoid Chavs on holiday, I think I might start avoiding Bogans too..........:grrrrrr:

You and your mates there, can give clear cut answers to prices...and maybe even the specialist's can get it down to the feckin' satang!

If a couple of hundred baht, one way or the other, makes such a big difference to you....stay home for one extra month, counting and saving your spare change!

true, patong the nights end younger and due to the lower quantity (i would never say quality), starting your night at 12am and in high season, not a good idea if you're like this guy and looking for BGs specifically. he's too used to patts where 24hrs a day you will find what you're looking for one way or the other (except for the ultra stunners in the more commercial gogo's, they'll always be gone by 10:30/11:00). but you can find them in the club again at 3am never the less :he:

Phuket beaches are ok... pretty average by NZ or Australian standards... but fantastic by world standards. Saying that... at least you can swim in the sea in Patong... avoiding the rips of course... Pattaya as a place is growing on me... the beach is still sub-standard there though...

I know plenty Oz guys who are fantastic fun and good company...............that said I dont like the way Patong is going..........am not interested in a place where you have big groups of guys drawing attention to themselves and then of course you have big groups of women as well.............for me this trend and families have ruined Patong in terms of what I want it to be

Just been debating here meeting some of the lads in March but it will be Patts and possibly somewhere else instead of Patong for the very reasons stated above

I may consider coming back in June or anytime that is p1ssing down with rain or the depths of low season, no inclination to come otherwise

Bit of a pity as I've got friends there, but hopefully they will get off their a*se and go elsewhere too for a few days..........knowing these guys they will be thinking along the same lines

Yah most of the thai gals are shy.. they would bath alone or off all the lights in the room..u have to learn how to wear condom in the dark....

Found 1 hotel called Urban Patong, room rate very reasonable no joiner fee and i 5 to 10 min walk to bangla as it just behind Jungceylong near Banzaan Market
