I have found a TG that I see on each of my Phuket holidays and it's working out just fine. I've found that it's quite difficult to actually function in LOS without a local as your mate. My Thai GF/escort translates, acts as a tour guide and also cuts the best deals with the local vendors including taxi drivers. I much prefer this to being with a gal with poor English skills which includes a lot of BG in Phuket.
These services are not free, however. She lets me know when it's time to buy her something or give her cash and expects a "tip" at the end of the holiday.
