How Do I introduce my pet cat to a new environment?

Ok so 4 years ago I got a cat named Ashley, she is very attached to my family and me and the other cat in the house and the house itself , so as you can tell she is very content and in place in her current environment. But this cat was taken away from her mother at only 4 weeks so we are all she has had her whole life.

So next year I am joining the Airforce and when I get my job after boot camp and schooling, I will be living in a small apartment on what ever base I am stationed at. If pets are allowed I want to take her with me because I am her owner. But I'm scared that she will not be able to adapt to such a smaller living space and less human contact and being the only cat in the house.

So do you think that she would be able to adapt or not.
Because if she cannot adapt, she could die of depression. So what do I do?

Cats adapt. She'll still have you. I just moved my two cats from a very big living space to a different house but all of a sudden once we moved here, I'm working a lot more hours so we're basically confined to my office for a good part of the day. They stay in here with me for the entire day and don't use the rest of the house. There's also an 80 pound dog in the house, which might be another reason they don't leave. But they've adapted fine to the change. Like I said, they have me. They have their food and water in this room.. They actually do have another room upstairs from this room with their litter box and lots of windows and they don't go up there to use that room other than to use the litter real quick and then they come right back down to me. They stay in this little tiny office with me so I'd say they adapted fine. I'd say Ashley would be more concerned about being with YOU than the size of your living space and should do fine.
