Yes, before you flame, NL has had drug problems with cartels fighting each other, but how 'bout them turf wars on the streets of Big D?
I will walk the streets of Nuevo Laredo, Ciudad Acuna, Piedras Negras, Reynosa and by God, if I can get his ass out west, even Tijuana with Brad before I'd hit some places in Dallas or Houston after dark.

Oh my God....

Excuse me for saying it but this is the biggest bullshit post I have ever seen in my life, and I would greatly appreciate you taking your long-winded, fake and hollywood-affected posts somewhere else - dont post them on my review. I have been to Mexico 30+ times and to Colombia 19 times, and growing!

#1 - Mexico is not nearly as dangerous for goodhearted, safe and smart gringos as you suggest.

#2 - You dont even want to touch the subject of Colombia - something you probably know nothing about. This is my playground and is a beautiful, fun-filled and exciting place to visit, stay or live!

#3 - Your post is filled with hollywood-style drama and "facts" that have no solid foundation. I am reading this thing again thinking you really just like to make shit up.

IMHO....however if you want to start a thread about how BAD Colombia and Mexico is, then go ahead....but 99% of people on mpnet and other sites like this know how to travel safe and are not looking for someone to post up here filling the bandwidth with a bunch of "stay away" BS!

May i interject some caution here, as i live in this state, gentlemen. I will advise everyone to be more than careful, nowadays. Mexico is no place for amateurs or faint of heart. It is a runaway rogue nation, filled with bandidos and crooked cops, not the mention the M13 gang that has taken over, in conjunction with the Russian mob. I liken it second to Colombia, as the most terror filled house of horrors. If any of you have seen the movie "Hostel" you will get the ideal, of how i view Juarez and Nuevo Laredo. Its open season on any Gringo, who drops his guard and even those who are aware. My informants tell me of stories, to ghastly to mention on this board. The Juarez murders also pertain to Americans, but due to unfavorable publicity, these are never mentioned in the paper. Men have disappeared from the face of the earth near these areas. To tell you the truth, i have a cold fear when someone mentions the words "travel to mexico". If you were to invite me to Juarez or Nuevo Laredo, my hands start to tremble, like Tom Hanks in Saving Private Ryan. I bypassed this border trip in favor of Acapulco, this last time, again only to find myself being followed by several suspects. I casually walked into the Wal-Mart (Acapulco) and left through the service exit in the back, running into a taxi, to loose them. I went to my hotel and stayed there, till i flighted out the next day, with paid bodyguards nearby. Never, never, never, again, will i go anywhere in Mexico, under any condition! Sorry, for the negative comments, but everyones input here, helps another fellow monger to stay alive.
