massage therapy advice?

hey,
i'm really interested in doing a tuina massage course but would like some advice from any massage therapists or students:should i first complete a basic holistic massage course and then specialise in tuina or should i just jump right in? my concerns are about the credibility of and job market for tuina m.t's. also, has anyone done a tuina course with BODYHARMONICS?it seems fairly intense and i'm a slow learner

I would say, go for it, if that is the type of massage that you feel drawn to. There is no point, at this stage, taking up holistic massage because you feel you have to, or you should. You should really follow your heart with tuina. This will ensure that you get the best out of the course, as well as enjoy it and be enthused by it, because it's what you chose to do first and foremost. Following your heartwill undoubtedly open up the right opportunities for you. Hope this helps. x

thanks bluemagpie. think you're right. well i know you're right. i should just stop thinking so much (i have a problem, i must confess...) i shall take you're advice into serious account when i finally make a decision. having said that, now i'm starting to doubt whether or not i really want to do the tuina?? go with my heart...hmm, you've reminded me that there's a curefor my pathological indecision! time to find my way back into the calm, eliminate theterrorist mind and just feel...

I have a friend who is completely indecisive in terms of the direction she wants to take her life. The best way to deal with indecision and the plethora of amazing options and opportunites out there, is to first go to taster classes - gather as much info as you can so you can make an informed choice. Secondly, once you've decided, the key is to stick to your chosen path. This will ensure the success of any venture you decide to take on! Hope this doesn't sound too preachy and is of some use!
