Salons are not normal bars, but brothels in private apartments.

In general, you have to call them first, and you need to speak Russian a little bit as they usually don't speak English. Then they will tell you a place to go to (which can be their actual address, but also, an intersection of 2 streets, a metro exit, or a shop/restaurant/massageplanete near their apartment). There, you must call them again. In the best case, they'll just tell you the apartment number and buzz you in. In the worse case, you'll have to wait for them to send somebody to meet you and guide you back to the apartment.

Call the agencies who speak English then. Of course, they are more expensive, but that's an option if you don't speak Russian.
