You gotta admit your not being clear.. Kinda revising lots of your numbers..

As for $50 - 100 for happy endings.. 1500 - 3000 in a country with such wage potential.. Seems cheap !! Most here are going to run to 1000 with a tip, how much longer until that becomes cheap charlie and it 'only what I would pay back home' ??

If a girl quotes me 4k.. I know immediately 2 things, she underestimates my intelligence / experience and she doesnt really want to go with me.

Now if its done with a smile and a gleam in her eye as an opening bid.. Then fair play shes just gaming it and I can play that game too.. but if shes serious the impact of those 2 points above means shes probably lost my interest by now.

Its not the amount she asks its the relative value shes placing on herself and undervalue shes placing on me..

And yes I have spent 20k (and 5k or so on bar fines) on girls for a night.. Yes I spent 1000 baht bar fine on a Pattaya showgirl cos she was the finest girl I saw in Patts (and did this show eating a banana that just said, stop thinking, act).. But the fact is when you can get a 'stunner' any night of the week with such a simple act as opening your wallet, the relative value transaction between the two people starts to get more important than the financial value. The will you respect me in the morning aspect !!!

In fact I have been known when asked by a girl if I wanted to pay her off to reply "Depends.. How much you pay me ??".. it gets a laugh, a smile, and puts the conversation back into the ballpark of how much does she want to go with me or does she just want 2k from my pocket.. Thats the beauty of Thailands bar scene, there can be more to it than just the commercial transaction and thats the fun for me.

Yes it is a trifling sum of money.. and yes its every persons right to do with it as they please.. But as I say its all about respect and perception.. I realized fairly rapidly here the girls respect you less when you overpay everyone (except them of course :sarcastic: ).. I dont let people take the piss out of me for 10 baht or a million baht..

If I am going to go with a girl I want to have a bit connection and chemistry, no longer is the girl in the spotlight with her nose in the air going to do that simply because she has a fit bod.. I can get a fit bod (and often a snotty attitude) 5 times a day.. There has to be some spark and fun and connection, that connection will be built on the mutual respect of each other. If I treated her badly or like a ****** (even if she is), ignore her while I bar crawl and drag her round, dont bear what she wants to do a bit in mind, I would expect to lose that respect, if she treats me like a mug punter, tries to pad my bin, buys her mates drinks without asking, she loses my respect. Its a 2 way street and its not about the actual amount of money.

I think this is a lot to do with how expats perceive it.. Its got very little to do with the nominal amount of money and everything to do with the value of the interaction. Being treated like a muppet is something I wont tolerate for any deal.
