Prices in TJ for strip clubs?

Cool thread with lots of good advice let me chime in here with a different aspect of what not to do.

This is also covered in the Fox thread and others.....when a cab driver sees a bunch of US sex tourist he sees a kickback for himself, so when you tell him Adelitas don't let him try to detour you to a Massage parlor, strip joint, or other club where he makes money if he takes you there. You'll often hear Purple Rain, Boleros, Luxor, Amnesia etc etc. Just pull a Nancy Reagan and just say NO! If he says Adelitas is closed, tell him to take you there anyway so you can go to the other bars in the area( AB is never closed)

It's not that a place like Purple Rain is bad, as there drinks are cheap $2 dollars, but it's an over priced MP compared to the zona bars, and it's in a deserted area of town, so your stuck there unless you take a cab somewhere else, or you know your way around and can walk to other places. Prices at Purple Rain are about $130 for an hour of her time quick massage, and BJ and sex, but you can bargain it down to $80 dollars for half hour.

Watch out for Amnesia on on Revolution the south end of town. It's an expensive clip joint similar to US style strip clubs where you mainly go there for lap dances, starting at $20 dollars, $40 dollars will top off, and $60 dollars full nude with lot of touching of the length of a song, or 2 for 1 if your lucky.
If you want sex, you might as well forget it, as the average asking price is $300 dollars...looking at all the reports on different websites. I myself never got sex here, but got a lot of promises if I buy that extra lap dance that I would also get a free BJ......we are talking the carrot and stick approach here where you are the horse, her pussy is the carrot and the stick is your money she slaps you face with for being so stupid for thinking she is going to let you fuck her!

Now some guys are married or for whatever reason don't want to fuck a stripper or bargirl, if that's the case Amnesia isn't a bad place to go but it can get expensive.

The best place for first timers is Adelitas....they have the most beautiful girls, and you just walk up to them, make your deal, and your off to the races...you don't even have to buy the girl a drink. However, personally I don't like the place because it's so busy and some of the sessions with the gilrs are hit and miss, but for first timers it's great, and you can't beat the $60 dollars.

Hong Kong to me is the best strip club in the zona, and most of the girls go upstairs too, but this bar seems to cost more than others in the zona, where most the girls at night ask for $80 dollars, but will settle for less if you ask them.

You also can't beat the deal SG's give starting at $20 dollars, cheaper if you use pesos.

And don't let the girl pick you, unless she is paying, if you are paying you take your time, and pick the one who turns you on the most.

Let me take a crack at these, and if anyone disagrees with what I write, don't hate, these are only my opinions and I am just trying to help.

1. HK for crazy strippers, Adelitas for hot looking women, Chicago is good at night. There are other good bars but if you aren't familiar with the more "locals oriented" places they can be hard to read.

2. As below, you have to buy a beer to get in the door after dark at HK, although all clubs will boot you after a while if you refuse to buy a drink. I tip a buck a round for drinks, girl drinks are7-8$ and in most places a beer is $3.50 (most places give 2 for 1 before 8), although Bar Delicias is $2 a beer.

3. Lap dances are $20 at HK, VIP room is $45 to $70 depending on the time, but it is a rip off. The Zona really isn't where you go for lap dances anyway, some girls will give you a fair amount of play in the bar if you buy them a drink, others will sit and look bored.

4. As noted SGs are $20-$30 plus $5 for a room (15 minutes) and BGs are $50-$70 and $12 for a room (30 minutes). This should be naked, full service with a BJ.These are just guidelines, I know some guys say they pay less.

5.This is just my approach: In bars it's best not to let a girl pressure you, better to have a beer and scope out all the talent. Get a vibe, see if a girl seems friendly but not too pushy. Buy her a drink and try to connect before asking them to go upstairs (Vamos arriba Senorita?). None of them will say no, but you might get a better session if you try to scope them out and trust your instincts. Most of the time you should ask the price downstairs.

6. Tips - Don't get too drunk, TJ is not the place you want to be out of control. Don't let the cops scare you, if they start asking you questions be polite and confident. Some are just doing their job and the corrupt ones are just seeing if they can spook you into offering a bribe. Don't buy illegal drugs or carry them, the odds of getting searched at night are high. Be safe and have fun. Assume anyone who approaches you in the street is full of shit.

There are fewer SGs these days and they seem a bit more willing to bargain. "$20 para dos posiciones, sin ropa" -- $20 for two positions without clothes is what I quoted just a few days ago -- and I hadn't even opened my mouth yet to introduce myself. There are some mongers who try to get them down to $15 or less -- or they convert their dollars into pesos and pay them 200 pesos which according to the prevailing exchange rates lowers the $20 down to a bit less than $19 or so.

The hotels are a very different story. Personally, I ask them if they would go to one of the BG hotels. I am never going into Hotel Eduardo again!

A couple of points of clarification:

After 7 pm on the weekends, Hong Kong makes you buy a beer on the way into the bar -- $3.50.

The BG hotels are charging $12 for 1/2 hour. They will have someone knock on the door after about 20 minutes. Just tell them to go away.

$60 is the going rate for BGs but some mongers have reported getting chicas down to $50.

for a newbie, take a look around as much as possible. just think of it as you're shopping for a car.

there's no cover charge, all the bars are free of entrance. just pay for drinks and pussy(s) not sure how much the drinks are these days.

i've never tried lap dances, but i get a good laugh watching my newbie friends getting one. (we would sit at a table and requested a dancer/hooker to come dance for us at the table) not sure how much private dances are though in the private booth.

when they're dancing on the dance floor, just tip them a dollar at a time.(dollar per song)

last time i was there was Dec. 2006, i paid for hotel room was 11 or 12 dollars i think. in 1998 it was 10 dollars. don't just go get a bj only, get the whole f/s. imo, don't pay more than 40/50, bargain your way out as much as you can. in 1998 i paid 40, and in 2006 i still paid 40.

Adelita is the most popular monger destination. It's the real deal. Attractive women, not much pressure, no ripoffs. The Chicago Club is much the same. As for Hong Kong, I don't know much about it.

Don't know about cover. I don't believe Adelita Bar has a cover charge, but I could be wrong on that. Tips are usually a buck. Drinks are around 2-3 for you, 8-10 should you choose to buy one for a lady.

3. How much are lap dances?
Don't know.

4. How much will it cost to get a BJ or fuck? Also, how much are hotel rooms?
At Adelita bar 60 bucks is about the average price. That generally gets you a covered BJ and sex for half an hour. Bear in mind that some chicas don't do blowjobs, so before you go to a room you may want to discuss what all will be taking place.

In addition to the 60 bucks, you've got to rent a hotel room. That's ten. Plus you're expected to tip a dollar.

Don't be afraid to barter with bar girls. It's expected. If she thinks you're an easy mark she may try to get you to cough up $80 for service. Don't take that.
