Do you guys really book appointments a week in advance and confirm the day of?

I have rarely been able to get a walk in, especially at Pure.
I then tried booking the day of and the suggestion was to call at 11 am or 6:30 pm for cancellations.

I get it why you would but I also really don't get having to schedule this so far in advance

I usually phone the day before and have never had any issues. But some girls? Yes. A week in advance is normal. But only a few.

I think this is more to the point of what I wanted to ask. I'm not always in the mood so do you cancel? Or go anyways because it was hard to get an appointment?

This might be an opportunity for the business to offer a “not in the mood” cancellation insurance.
You book and pay the “not in the mood” cancellation insurance fee, which entitles you to cancel up to an hour before appointment time. It also ensures no punitive taken against client for the cancellation.
Most of the girls would easily recoup any lost clients from the streams of walk-ins or stand by clients.

I always book as far in advance as possible to lock in my faves.

I try not to cancel unless absolutely necessary, and if so I call to cancel as soon as I know that's the case.

I have cancelled on the same day on occasion, always with a sincere apology. The receptionists always take it with a friendly tone.

However I wouldn't be surprised if somebody who wasn't a "regular", and cancelled too often, might be blacklisted. Just my guess though.

Also, even if you are a "regular", they will give away your booking to another client if you don't confirm on time.

This is also what I was thinking. I like to just show up and see but my issue is that it never or very rarely works at a premier spot. Unless there is someone new.
