I missed one point. The girls and hotels "charge" in 30 minute increments. For 30 minutes, pay no more than $40-$50 to the girl. They may start you off with a quote of $60 but negotiate. Almost all will negotiate down. If you like the service, you can give an extra tip afterwards. Both Adelitas and CC have hotels right next door. The hotel cost will be $11 for 30 minutes. If you want to stay longer, you will need to pay another $11 to the hotel. What you pay the girl will be open to negotiation.

Also, in my last post I meant to stay that Adelitas and CC are only a very short distance away from each other, so you can walk from one club to another. But definitely take a cab from the border -- as a newbie do not under any circumstances try to walk from the border.

I have been travelling from SD to TJ fo mongering for more than a decade, so maybe I can help you.

1. You will not be able to take a taxi directly from your hotel to TJ if you stay at a hotel in the US. The best you can do if you want to use a taxi is take a taxi to the border. You then will need to cross the order on foot.

2. Using taxis will ge very expensive in a hurry. SD has an excellent trolley system that will drop you right at the border, so I strongly recommend a hotel/motel within walking distance of the trolley. Depending on how long/far you want to ride the trolley, you could get a hotel in Chula Vista (10 minute ride); downtown SD (20-30 minute ride); or Mission Valley (45 minute ride). Chula Vista will be the least expensive, Mission Valley a little more expensive but still relatively cheap, and downtown the most expensive. All will have restaurants and nightlife neaby.

3. There also are several hotels on the US side which are walking distance to the border. The US town right at the border is called San Ysidro.

4. The danger in TJ is real but can be avoided if you are smart and careful. I probably have been to TJ 200 times in the past 10 years. I have been stopped and searched by the police twice, but no problems. To me, the secret is (i) don't do anything stupid (i.e. pissing in public, getting too drunk, buying or using drugs, acting too obnoxious); and (ii) take taxis everywhere.

5. If you cross the border on foot, you'll find a huge taxi stand about 100 yards past the crossing. Just grab a cab and had to Adelitas, CC, or whereever else you want to go. Adelitas and CC are close and can be walked. Use a cab to go anywhere else. When you're ready to head back to the US, just take a cab back to the border. Don't pay more than $5 for any cab trip. And when you get dropped back to the border, be careful and have the cab driver get you as close as he can to the crossing because there have been reports of police shakedowns right near the boder crossing.

6. Adelitas and CC do have "floor shows" but they are not strip clubs per se. If you're looking for strip club action like in the US (but with a lot more mileage), you'll have to go to a club on Ave. Revolution. Some clubs that are okay are Peanuts & Beer, Beverly Hills Club and Madonnas. All of these places, while fun, can be major rip-off places so watch your money carefully and be careful of TS.

7. Adelitas may be a little slow in the afternoon from Mon - Wed but there will still be more than enough women there for you to find something you will like. As the weekend approaches, more working girls come to TJ for the weekend so Thur and Fri afternoons in Adelitas are very lively.

8. CC is always slow during the day, and doesn't really get going until about 11:00 pm. I like the slower, more quiet atmosphere in CC during the day because you can talk to the girls more and be more selective about your choice. I have found some real gems in CC in the afternoon. But I wouldn't go there before 4:00 pm. Before then you might be the only monger in there, which can feel wierd.

I am looking to spend a much-needed vacation in Tijuana in late August-early September. I have been reading the posts here and I am hoping to avoid the pitfalls that have befallen others. I can use some help, especially from those in the San Diego area, assessing my plan.

Here’s my plan: in order to reduce the chance that I run into any problems in Tijuana (drunken locals, crooked cops), I will stay at a hotel in San Diego. Each day, I will catch a taxi from my hotel to Adelitas and/or Chicago Club. I do not know exactly how these clubs work, but what I would like to do is get some lap dances (I hear you can do a lot more touching in Tijuana than here). If I find a girl I especially like, I’ll take her to a short-time hotel. I plan to stay in Tijuana until the early evening, and then when things get packed and too busy, I’ll simply take a taxi back to my hotel where I can spend the evening relaxing, catching up on the many movies that I am behind on, etc. It is important that I find a hotel that has a DVD player, decent sized tv and is walking distance from restaurants and a video store.

I have heard some mention of a difference between the quality of girls available at night vs. afternoon/early evening. If there is a difference, is the quality earlier in the day at least worth it?

Are the times/prices rigid once you get a girl into a hotel? Or are these negotiable if I decide I want to keep a girl another 30 minutes or so?
