What is a Yahoo Violation for chatting? Wouldn't a simple question be...

...considered chatting? Or a simple answer? Could ANY communication online involving a question or answer be considered chatting? Could someone explain with examples the difference?

Spiritually speaking, of course.
Prolly some kind of anti-gay agenda reported me... I wasn't chatting as far as I can tell.
If you've blocked the "suspect" reporter of said violation, can that person still report you another question?

I actually have seen this happen on this board...once, or twice. I suppose, strictly speaking, it is rather rude.

Yahoo defines chatting in Y!A as any comment not involving a question or an answer. You can appeal false violations successfully.

One of the often chat violations is when someone asks a question for a specific answer that is given in the question. If a question is for bringing out a particular comment, it is not a question, but a chat.

Each question is taken as one entity. Someone can follow all your questions or your answers that you allow to be seen on your profile and report all of them. That is why some people have the questions and answers private - not showing.

As for me, mine are all available for anyone to see.

The Y!A system is possibly a bit screwed up at present - I've been getting violations with no reason given, for posts that never even made it to the list.

However I've a suspicion that there may be some violation stalkers out there trying to kick out people they disagree with, so you might have been caught that way. They can be like slimy lawyers looking for loopholes, and only aimed at selected people. It's the Zimbabwe justice system idea...

There's something really fishy going on today with the YA! nutjob staff. I've gotten several violations that were not at all. It's like they got some new riff raff wanna be in power nutjob as a moderator or something. YA! is going down hill and it's because of the management and the poor forum staff. I wish something very bad would happen to them. I truly despise anal retards who invent violations where none exist, just to cause harassment and trouble for another human being.
